At one point or another, we've all thought long and hard at how we would finish the following phrase:

If I had a time machine...

Right? And if you're a geek like me, even if I had a time machine, you know you're not supposed to mess with the space time continuum. So what to do? Easy. I'd use my time machine to go back into time and see rock legends perform live. From The Beatles to The Who, The Ramones at CBGB's and Joy Division at the University of Birmingham. Just to name a few. But high up on my list was a band who nobody ever thought would reunite. Who I thought I would need a time machine to ever witness live. Last year though, the impossible became possible. The Police headed out on a reunion tour. And I didn't get a ticket. WHAT? You'd think I could save myself a trip back into time. However, like the clouds parting to let down some heavenly sunlight, The Police headed out on a SECOND tour and I got tickets!!!

The show was two weeks ago at the Hollywood Bowl, and on top of all that awesomeness Elvis freaking Costello opened for them. And of course I snuck in my camera.

Thank god for big screens. Sting still looks good. Yes I said it.
