happy halloween!!

Halloween is just wonderful. I got my halloween party on this past Saturday @BlowUp, so there is really no need for me to go out and be extra devilish tonight! I'm staying and watching scary movies with the lights out and the sound up.

I took quite a few pictures at BlowUp but I'm definitely lagging on posting them so I will at least post mine and my friends costumes from this past weekend.

Sandi was a gypsy, but she can't deny she looked more like a Britney Spears Gypsy hahaha.

Me, I was Frida Kahlo.

Jason dressed as the Carver from Nip/Tuck. Awesome.

Gaby was a waaaay hotter version of the Joker from The Dark Knight.

And just because, everyones favorite DJ Le Castlevania.

Have fun Halloweenies.

Let's see if this finally works

I'm trying to send pictures via my blackberry. Better work this time haha. Pirate ships are awesome.

i love you but i've chosen disco

Detour this past weekend was fantastic. Loads of amazing dj's, and bands.

10/06 Detour Festival Downtown LA

On the way there. I like power lines too much.

Got to Detour in time to catch the last of Frankie Chan's set.

So can I tell you how much I love this man? Because I do.

My fav foto of the day. FYI this is Kavinsky.

heart.heart.heart.

Mel is all about tourist photos. She thinks I'm her personal photographer haha;"take a picture of that, now that, now me, now us!" hahahaha

Wouldn't it be awesome to make it a life goal to visit all the places on the sister city sign?

Le Castlevania is seriously one of the best dj's making the rounds. I like when he sings along to whats he's playing.

This picture is super awesome because all I did was make it b&w. It came straight out of the camera like it was drawn.

Again, if he's djing in your town, go dance your pants off.

Justice = I dance like I've just won the lottery.

After Detour Mel and I headed to the Downtown Standard Hotel for the Urb party. Interesting mix of people and complete madness as Justice and Ed Banger Crew arrived.

Mel working the camera.

I love a good time.

can't stop the beat

WoW. What a whirlwind these past two weeks have been. I don't know how I keep up with everything. I need to be better about blogging pics like a day or two after I take them, not weeks. Anyway, last week Mel and I went to the Roxy for the BMP party w/LA Riots and The Crystal Method. Thanks to LA Riots for putting Mel and I on their list. And if you don't know who LA Riots are you to click here and go to a party they are djing.

More pictures coming up...

do the d.a.n.c.e.

I've been trying to post via the new extension to my life, aka blackberry curve, and it isn't working. That is noooo fun.

Anyway, pictures pictures pictures...

Blow Up LA 9/22.

Kim is totally cool with me taking her picture. Joey not so much.

Crotch shot!

Despite this Blow Up being the worst, most unorganized mess at the worst location possible for a party, we made the most of a flop with moments like this. Blow Up is always a hit or miss. Maybe next time.

Guster @ the Avalon 9/15

Sound check.

Amy is amazing at her job, that sticker should say Amy is for lovers hahaha, what?

Guster.

9/16/07
Kim, Joey and I ventured to the Farmers Market and the Grove to see Across the Universe, which again I have to say is amazing.

I love LA.

We ate amazing brazilian food for dinner at the farmer's market.

oh Rilo Kiley. I was going to go see them this coming Monday but now I decided not to. My friends think I'm crazy. My excuse? DAFT PUNK in Vegas. Enough said.

It was pretty perfect to come across this after the movie.

9/17

Peter Bjorn and John. So fantastic.

3/25/07
Old Cemetery in Riverside. These are pics I took waaaaaay back in March. I sort of forgot about these pictures. Old cemetery's at night are fantastic, except the part where the ground was soft. That is not cool because you know what's under that soft ground your walking on that feels like you better move or you'll start sinking. Too bad I looked through all the photos and in two there are some questionable shadows that gave me quite a jolt. I'll post those later. Ooooooh scary!!

"No way, I'm not walking up to that and looking in!!!"

Ghosts. Or just Kim?

Afterwards we went to the awesome drive in to watch 300 and eat the tasty nachos they have there.

More pictures to come...
